The Ned NoMad

We stayed here the weekend after Christmas and we enjoyed the hotel. We were able to check in a bit early with the Amex benefit and they upgraded our room to a studio suite. I loved being able to text the hotel for any needs such as a microwave or firmer pillows. I would say overall it was a pleasant experience and I received the American Express room credit for $100 and the room upgrade which was nice. I think they could have done a better job explaining to me at check in what the upgrade was just for my knowledge. I also think the restaurant should let you pick up your own food if you don't want to wait for room service. Overall I would say this place was a 4.6 but I rounded up since Google doesn't have that option and I don't feel like this was a 4 star experience. I would certainly stay here again!

Recently had my second week long stay, Londoner’s home in NYC. Classy, has character, high quality amenities, always sparkling clean.

One of our families favorite hotels in NYC. Great restaurants, valet parking, customer service, and dog friendly. There is a great dog park within short walking distance with views of the Empire State Building and Flatiron Building. This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to midtown but with less of a crowd.

The service from the staff and location are hard to beat. You can walk or get to anywhere from this hotel because you're in midtown. There's also a nightclub that looked fun, but we didn't end up going to it. I found the room layout to be sort of odd. I expected it to be small, but there wasn't a comfortable place to relax during the day between activities. Unless you're by yourself, you have to use the bed for everything

Truly exquisite stay in an imppecibly renovated 1920s building. Lobby staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. PROS: - Excellent club access for guests with coffee/pastries/etc. -VIEWS for days of the surrounding city. - Rooms not noisy surprisingly, but if city lights bother you, you might want to bring a sleep mask as the blackout shades only keep out so much. - Bountiful amount of cowshed products in bathroom as well as charging cables/adapters and toiletries. - Location, location, location near tons of restaurants and steps from the subway. CONS: - Elevators are a tad on the smaller side so don’t bring an obnoxious amount of luggage - Rooms are comfortable and spacious but oddly laid out - toilet is not in bathroom, it’s in a separate wash closet. - Rooms dont have many drawers for storage so prepare to hang most of your clothes or put them on the lower shelf of the bedside tables. Negatives aside, run don’t walk to the Ned!

We went to the bar at the Ned and had an absolutely amazing time. We were a party of 11 and the staff was absolutely wonderful. we ordered some of the fountains which were beautifully presented and great value for money. We also got cocktails in every cocktail tasted wonderful too. Our server was amazing and the venue itself is beautiful and elevated. 100% would return. It's a great space to speak with friends or go on a date!

Update: After sharing my previous experience, I was truly impressed by how promptly and professionally management responded. They reached out with a sincere apology, took my feedback seriously, and reassured me that they would address the service concerns internally. What stood out most was their genuine commitment to making things right, including inviting me back for another opportunity. That level of attentiveness and care speaks volumes about their dedication to guest experience. While my initial visit did not meet expectations, I deeply appreciate the way the situation was handled afterward. It shows integrity and a real desire to maintain high standards. I’m looking forward to giving them another chance. This Monday the waitress/bartender behind the bar at Cecconi’s completely hijacked and ruined my second date. We were seated at the bar from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, and instead of maintaining even a shred of professionalism, she inserted herself into the experience the entire time. She became excessively friendly and started oversharing personal stories, telling us how she slept in one of the rooms the night before because of the blizzard and how upset she was that she didn’t have a bathtub for a bubble bath. It was wildly inappropriate and uncomfortable. It felt less like we were on a date and more like she was competing for attention from behind the bar. Her lack of boundaries completely derailed the atmosphere. When you’re paying for a dining experience, the last thing you expect is for the staff to center themselves and turn your date into their personal storytelling hour. If you value privacy, professionalism, and basic social awareness, think twice before going somewhere that allows this type of behavior from their staff.

Overall I enjoyed my several day long stay at the Ned Nomad. The room was very comfortable, fairly spacious and well appointed. The team overall is friendly, very professional and efficient. This is a fine import of British vintage design and hospitality, despite lacking the grandeur and scale of the Ned London. And as a resident of the hotel, one has access to the so called private members club area, the rooftop outdoor being its high (and perhaps only) point. The partnership with Soho House explains Cecconi’s as the hotel coffee shop / restaurant, which, whilst not the most inspired choice, I must admit ticked the box for breakfast only. Like the food offering, the bar plays it a tad too safe with its cocktails list, but its execution cannot be faulted. All in all, whilst i may bot rush back given the dizzying depth of the offering in the city, i will certainly recommend it
